Trinity Entrepreneurial Society (TES), winner of “CSC Best Medium Society 2009″, entertains its skilled and ambitious members with a wide range of exciting events and competitions. The biggest event of the year is the Trinity Enterprise Competition, which gives students the chance to pitch their ideas against Trinity’s best in a “Dragons’ Den” style finale. The winners will walk away with €3,000 in cash prizes.

Our Guest Speakers Series attracts some of the biggest names in Irish business -last year these included Eddie Hobbs and Dermot Mannion, while our annual Internship Evening gives members the chance to get up close and personal with potential employers getting insider tips on applying. Events this year so far have included talks from food entrepreneurs “Cully & Sully”, a “Get into the Mindset of a Consultant” workshop, C.V. workshop and many more.

TES want to become active members in TEN and want the members of TEN to benefit from our society. At the launch of TEN it was suggested other TEN members might have internships for TES members over the summer months and we will be posting about this at a later date.

We are producing an interactive display for the foyer of the O’Reilly Institute in Trinity. This will run on a large plasma screen and will feature information on the most successful spin out companies from Trinity College.  See sample screen below.  We have some great content especially video from some of the companies but if you would like your TCD spin out to be featured and can supply video please leave a comment to this post.

Trinity Enterprise Network (TEN/10)

We are delighted to announce the establishment of the Trinity Enterprise Network November 2009.  Trinity College are setting up the network as a way of providing better supports

Membership is open to …

• Companies – business and craft & design – based in the Trinity Technology and Enterprise Campus
• Trinity campus and spin-off companies
• Other companies with a relationship with or connected to Trinity College
• Projects in the Trinity’s  pipeline of commercially relevant research
• Postgraduate students and researchers interested in Entrepreneurial activity, especially those who have attended the Entrepreneurship Training Programme

Through networking, and sharing of expertise, contacts and advice we hope that the companies, projects and people who are members of TEN /10 will  benefit from this Network.

Membership of the  network is free and the structure will be informal and interactive.
